Shipping company MSC has announced changes to its Ecuador-NWC and Scanbaltic-USA service in response to client demand and to expand its coverage of German ports. From 28 April, the service will include a direct call at Hamburg on its westbound journey, creating a new weekly transatlantic link between Hamburg and the US East Coast.

This new call will help to strengthen connections between Germany and the US, reflecting MSC’s ongoing commitment to expanding its transatlantic network. The company has claimed that this network provides the widest range of ports, competitive transit times, and access to extensive inland transportation and logistics solutions.

Transit times for the new service will be 14 days from Hamburg to Boston, 24 days to Jacksonville, and 35 days to Guayaquil. The first vessel to follow this new rotation will be the ARUSHI R, with voyage number NN416A.

The new rotation of the Ecuador – NWC & Scanbaltic – USA service will be as follows:

Paita – Cristobal – Moin – Antwerp – Rotterdam – Bremerhaven – Klaipeda – Gdynia – Goteborg – Hamburg – Antwerp – Felixstowe – Le Havre – Boston – New York – Philadelphia – Norfolk – Jacksonville – Freeport – Rodman – Guayaquil – Puerto Bolivar – Guayaquil – Paita
