M.V. XIN YAO HUA

On January 19, the new 80,000-ton semi-submersible vessel M.V. XIN YAO HUA was named and delivered to COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers in Nansha, Guangzhou.

With an LOA of 255 meters, a moulded beam of 57 meters, a maximum draft of 30.5 meters, and a design speed of 14.5 knots/hour, the vessel has a deck area of 210 meters in length and 57 meters in width, close to the size of two standard soccer fields.

The vessel is highly intelligent, with more than 9,000 automated control points across the ship. These control points are like the nervous system of the human body. So if any small device onboard fails, the operator can find it instantly and handle it remotely.

The maiden voyage of M.V. XIN YAO HUA will be dedicated to a floating dock transportation project from South Korea to Qatar. The floating dock is 230 meters long and 45 meters wide. After that, the vessel will participate in a wind power conduit rack transportation project from the Far East to the U.K.
