On 12 May 2024, JJ Shipping, a leading Chinese ocean carrier, hosted M.V. Mild Jasmine’s maiden voyage ceremony and unveiled CVT service, a new ocean transportation service at OB terminal, Bangkok Port.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Xiangqun Wang, General Manager of Jinjiang Shipping Agency (Thailand), Mr. Tom Chalermkarnchana, Director of Jinjiang Shipping Agency (Thailand), Directors of Container Terminal 1 and 2 Bangkok Port, and honoured guests. JJ Shipping also took attendance to visit the vessel bridge, including demonstrating equipment instruction by the captain.
M.V. Mild Jasmine is the CCS class container vessel with a capacity of 1,956 TEU and 200 FEU reefer plugs. JJ Shipping will deploy the new container vessel in its CVT weekly service, with port rotation starting from Bangkok to Laem Chabang, Shekou, Shanghai, Ningbo, Ho Chi Minh, and Laem Chabang.
The CVT service has an estimated time of departure from Bangkok Port every Monday and from Laem Chabang Port every Tuesday. The service offers advantages with its fast transit times, providing direct export service to Shekou in 4 days, Shanghai in 7 days, and Ningbo in 9 days.
