FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp, one of the world’s largest express freight forwarding companies, has announced cooperation with a new partner, N15 Technology, which has converted the company’s transportation waste into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) through the Orphan Waste project.

The N15 Technology Orphan Waste project has set up service stations that collect non-hazardous solid waste from the community for sorting and processing into waste fuel with cement incinerators, making it an alternative waste management option that reduces waste delivery to landfills which contributes to greenhouse gas emissions such as methane.

“FedEx understands that our business operations impact the environment, and we are committed to reducing these impacts through a ‘Reduce, Replace, Revolutionize’ approach,” said Thien Long Woon, Managing Director of FedEx Express. “Our commitment to responsible business conduct and efficient use of resources through these types of projects will help drive communities in Thailand towards a sustainable future.”
