ESL has just unveiled its latest offerings to enhance trade connectivity between Chinese markets and East Africa. The company announced the launch of two new services, namely the Fahari (FHX) service and the Fanaka (FNX) service. These services have evolved from ESL’s previous Far East Africa Express (FAX) and are designed to provide seamless connectivity between Chinese markets and East Africa.

The Fahari (FHX) service will have Mombasa, Kenya, as its sole East African call, while the Fanaka (FNX) service will focus on Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, as its East African market. Both service names, Fahari meaning “Pride or Splendor” and Fanaka meaning “Prosperity or Success” in Swahili, were carefully chosen to signify ESL’s commitment to the region. The company aims to create grandeur by taking pride in its service to the East African market while continuously driving prosperity and delivering success to its customers.

These new services reinforce ESL’s dedication to its customers and partners, emphasizing enhanced service reliability to the region with direct and consistent weekly services. The FHX service rotation will include stops at Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Port Klang, Mombasa, and back to Qingdao. Similarly, the FNX service rotation will cover Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Shekou, Port Klang, Dar es Salaam, and back to Qingdao.

The FNX service is set to commence on 20th October, followed by the FHX service on 21st October, with both services departing from Qingdao. This development is expected to significantly bolster trade relations between Chinese markets and East Africa, offering a reliable and efficient shipping solution for businesses and traders in the region.
