COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Morocco) SARL has officially opened in Casablanca, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion into North Africa. The new company will play a vital role in facilitating trade between North Africa and the rest of the world, thanks to an optimized global network that features green shipping and digital supply chain services.
The TSM service, established in September 2020 and currently connecting major ports in Marmara with Spain and Casablanca, will greatly benefit from the addition of COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Morocco) SARL to the network. The service offers a fast connection to Valencia in just one day and currently has four container ships sailing on the route, three of which are modern and CO2-efficient 1,900 TEU vessels operated by Diamond Line.
According to WANG Mingfeng, President of COSCO SHIPPING Europe, the new company’s establishment in Casablanca demonstrates the importance of North Africa in global trade and the company’s commitment to serving worldwide trade and local societies together. He also noted that Morocco and its customers have a tremendous potential to grow together in the next few years, with North Africa being a key focus for the company’s liner services.
