COSCO SHIPPING Lines WSA5 Service Colombia

COSCO SHIPPING Lines celebrated the launch of its new WSA5 service with a maiden call at the Port of Buenaventura, Colombia, on February 5th, 2025. The inaugural voyage of the M.V. Xin Hong Kong delivered 707 TEUs of goods from China, including automobiles, photovoltaics, and other products, further strengthening trade ties between the two countries.

The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Counselor Gao Jinbao from the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Colombia and Ms. Ligia del Carmen Córdoba Martinez, the Mayor of Buenaventura.

“The launch of the WSA5 route signifies a new phase of more efficient and convenient trade between China and Colombia,” said a COSCO SHIPPING Lines spokesperson. “The route from Colombia to Shanghai and Qingdao offers the fastest delivery time in the market, further promoting bilateral trade prosperity and development.”

COSCO SHIPPING is also actively pursuing its digital supply chain strategy, providing customers with intelligent and digital logistics solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

“COSCO SHIPPING Lines and SPRB entered into a terminal service agreement, exchanged gifts, and posed for a group photograph together,” said the spokesperson, highlighting the collaborative spirit of the event.
