On October 26th 2022, Evergreen’s M.V. TAMPA TRIUMPH, with a length of 366m and a tonnage of 150,709 DWT, was successfully accommodated at Cai Mep International Terminal (CMIT). This is the first mother vessel of Evergreen ever to call CMIT and the pilot call of the potential service to the U.S. East Coast, which Evergreen is currently developing.

After 54 years in the shipping industry since its establishment, Evergreen is currently the world’s 6th biggest container line, with a combined fleet capacity of more than 1.5 million TEUs and an intensive global shipping network. In addition to innovative strategies and programs in operations, the Taiwanese container shipping line is also known as a sustainable shipping line with eco-friendly container vessels to provide customers with reliable transportation services.

Being a deep-sea port cluster for long-haul services, Cai Mep currently operates 33 weekly services, of which 23 services connect Vietnam directly to the U.S. market. With high productivity, safe operations, and top service quality, CMIT, particularly Cai Mep, is generally gaining high interest from international shipping lines looking to diversify their service networks and meet shipping demands from customers in Vietnam.
