BevChain, in collaboration with Linfox, has recently opened a state-of-the-art, sustainable 35,000-square-metre beverage distribution centre in Maddington, WA. This impressive facility was officially opened by Linfox President BevChain, Misha Shliapnikoff, and is designed to achieve 5-Star Green Star certification. The site offers additional ambient and temperature-controlled capacity and is conveniently located near BevChain’s customers, transportation hubs, and routes.

This new facility houses many well-known beverage brands across beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drink categories. In recent months, BevChain has moved Lion’s range of beer products into the new Maddington distribution centre, enhancing Lion’s capability in the West. Lion has trusted BevChain since 2006 to provide full end-to-end logistics right across the country for its big-name liquor brands, including XXXX, Tooheys, Hahn, Furphy, Little Creatures, and James Squire.

The relationship between Lion and BevChain continues to grow as BevChain consistently provides strong service results and logistics management capability. BevChain delivers Lion beer directly into the Coles network, replacing the previous delivery model from the Lion distribution centre to the store. This fundamental change to the Lion and Coles partnership improves Lion’s operational profile while presenting a consolidated delivery model for Coles.

BevChain seamlessly managed and executed the logistics integration for Lion’s purchase of Fermentum, known for its flagship brand Stone & Wood, achieving near-perfect service results through the onboarding process. The success of this significant network change can be attributed to the strong collaboration, trust, and transparency between BevChain and Lion.

This impressive new facility results from careful planning, management, and investment by Linfox, BevChain, supplier partners, and project and site teams. It provides much-needed additional capacity, positioning BevChain for future growth in the WWest. The safe, sustainable facility has opened in time to quench WA’s thirst ahead of the summer season and is located in a key Perth industrial precinct.
