APL, part of the CMA CGM Group, a world leader in shipping and logistics, today announced the launch of West Asia Express 6 service (WA6).

The new weekly WA6 is set to facilitate trade between the Asian and Middle Eastern economies. While WA6 will be characterized by its direct connectivity from Xiamen to the Middle East, it will facilitate import to and export from Kaohsiung.

Shippers with Hamad and Sohar bound cargoes will soon be able to leverage WA6 as an alternative freight option. The service will commence sailing from Ningbo on 11 April with the following port rotation: Ningbo – Kaohsiung – Xiamen – Shekou – Singapore – Jebel Ali – Dammam – Hamad – Sohar – Singapore – Ningbo.
