Yusen Logistics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has finalized a strategic contract logistics partnership with the BMW Group Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Thailand. Under the new agreement, Yusen Logistics has taken over dedicated on-site warehouse operations and nationwide freight distribution from BMW’s primary spare parts hub, directly supporting the German automaker’s aftersales supply chain and nationwide dealer network.
The collaboration places Yusen Logistics at the center of BMW’s localized customer service strategy, ensuring that authorized dealerships receive vehicle maintenance components under strict delivery windows.
Enhancing On-Site Operations at the Bangna-Trad Logistics Hub
The operational center of the partnership is located at the BMW RDC facility on the industrial Bangna-Trad Road corridor. Spanning an active footprint of more than 14,000 square meters, the warehouse handles thousands of unique stock-keeping units (SKUs), ranging from small electronic components to large structural vehicle body parts.
Yusen Logistics has deployed specialized contract logistics teams on-site to oversee inventory management, sorting, and packaging protocols. The daily warehouse operations focus on maintaining high inventory accuracy, reducing order processing cycle times, and optimizing service reliability to eliminate bottlenecks before parts leave the loading docks.

Executing Time-Critical Nationwide Dealer Deliveries
Beyond the walls of the fulfillment center, Yusen Logistics is managing the secondary distribution network that moves spare parts from the Bangna-Trad RDC to BMW dealerships across every region of Thailand. The integrated transport network uses a fleet of secure vehicles scheduled to execute timely and predictable deliveries.
By syncing on-site warehouse picking sequences with fixed transport departure schedules, the system helps dealerships secure the specific components required for customer vehicle repairs and routine maintenance. This coordinated flow reduces the amount of time vehicles spend waiting for parts in service bays.
Deploying Real-Time Inventory Tracking Systems
To improve supply chain transparency, Yusen Logistics is developing an advanced inventory management system specifically tailored for this automotive pipeline. The digital platform will allow BMW dealers to access real-time stock availability, making parts ordering more predictable and improving dealership service scheduling.
The tracking software also automates strict First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory management inside the warehouse. This systemic control guarantees that older components are distributed first, preventing product obsolescence and helping maintain factory-specified shelf-life standards for sensitive rubber, chemical, and electronic automotive parts.
Deepening Automotive Supply Chain Capabilities in Southeast Asia
The contract reinforces Yusen Logistics’ position as an established supply chain partner for global automotive manufacturers throughout Southeast Asia. The logistics provider manages a portfolio of automotive services in the region, including inbound-to-manufacturing component transport, multi-user warehouse operations, and finished vehicle logistics.
Koichi Hirose, President of Yusen Logistics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated that the company is honored to support the Regional Distribution Center of the BMW Group in Thailand and contribute its logistics expertise to their aftersales supply chain. He noted that the contract reflects a continued commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality logistics solutions while supporting the operational excellence and service standards expected by BMW and its dealer network.
