SITC Launches New VTX6 Service Connecting Thailand, Vietnam, China, and Japan

SITC Container Lines (SITC) has introduced a new maritime transportation service known as VTX 6, establishing a direct route that links Thailand, Vietnam, China, and Japan. This expansion of SITC’s network is intended to bolster capacity and improve service capabilities for customers in Southeast Asia, China, and Japan.

The VTX6 service is operated by 900TEU vessels and offers a more comprehensive service network and more frequent rotation. SITC aims to deliver ‘AAA Service’ to its customers, embodying the Japanese principles of Anzen (Safety), Antei (Sustainability), and Anshin (Security).

The inaugural voyage of the VTX6 service departed from Shanghai westbound on 12 June. It boasts a 28-day port rotation from Shanghai to Ningbo, Sihanoukville, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh, Shekou, Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, and back to Shanghai. This new service underscores SITC’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and service quality in the region.
