Whale Logistics Group (Whale) recently launched its first fully electric-powered trailer as part of its Green Logistics initiative, which aims to preserve the environment and reduce carbon dioxide emissions in logistics operations.
According to Whale, integrating a single electric trailer will reduce the company’s carbon dioxide emissions, equivalent to planting 200 trees annually. This is made possible as the electric trailer can operate up to 400 kilometers per charge. Additionally, it can reduce fuel costs by up to 50 percent compared to a standard trailer.
Moreover, electric trailers are a great solution to reduce noise pollution, as they generate relatively less noise than standard trailers. Furthermore, to ensure the highest safety standards, the company has implemented an MBS tracking system, enabling control over trailer operations and collecting essential information, including route history and vehicle operating speed.
