SITC has announced that the “SITC Global Shipping Logistics Center” has been inaugurated in Qingdao.
Qingdao is the crossing point of the “Maritime Silk Road” and the “Land Silk Road” and an important hub for the construction of the “Belt and Road”. Qingdao Free Trade Zone looks to become a world first-class business environment, who also shoulders the mission of promoting the high-quality development of the shipping logistics industry, and building an international shipping hub in Northeast Asia and an innovative demonstration zone on the Chinese eastern coast.
SITC International says they will actively develop maritime and land-based smart logistics and digital logistics through two major means of artificial intelligence and big data. The new center will help Qingdao’s shipping, trade and financial coupling development, enhance SITC’s core competitiveness to accelerate SITC’s innovation and development, and contribute to the high-quality development of shipping logistics, by establishing the “Intelligent Warehousing and Logistics Base”, “Northeast Asia Shipping and Global Crew Management Center”, “SITC International Investment Platform” and “Global Port Logistics Intelligent Management Platform”.
At the event, SITC International and Qingdao Free Trade Zone Management Committee formally signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. Wang Qingxian who is Qingdao Municipal Party Committee Secretary presented the letter of appointment for the Qingdao Free Trade Zone Shipping Logistics Industry Development Consultant to Yang Shaopeng who is Board Chairman of SITC International.
