Rhenus India inaugurated a modern multi-user facility in Bhiwandi with 300,000 square feet of space, making it one of the largest warehouses in the area, enabling the company to play a greater role as one of the most important providers of Integrated Logistics Services in the country. The warehouse specialist is particularly focusing on storing chemical and petrochemical products alongside other industries like industrial, engineering & manufacturing. The flagship customer of this warehouse is Covestro, the polymer expert.

The warehouse is designed with smart features that are customer-centric and has a best-in-class infrastructure. This modern warehouse has a Warehouse Management System providing end-to-end visibility to customers, fully equipped loading/ unloading docks, and new Racking and Material Handling Equipment to support speedy storage and retrieval of goods. In addition, the warehouse fully complies with the latest global standards for health, safety and the environment (HSE). Sustainability is also very important for Rhenus in India: building features such as solar panels and rainwater recycling are helping to boost the climate-friendliness of the new facility. The logistics specialist is also gradually equipping other business sites with solar panels to make the future of logistics more sustainable.

Thanks to its strategically favourable location near the financial and business city of Mumbai in the west of India, the new warehouse aims to meet the fast-changing needs of brands across industries, including Chemical & Petro Chemical, FMCG, Retail, 3PL, Industrial and Manufacturing and others.
