PIL Capt. Myron Fernandes

PIL recently hosted Harbour Master for Sydney, Capt. Myron Fernandes is from the Port Authority of New South Wales at its head office in Singapore.

During the visit, Capt. Fernandes visited PIL’s Centre for Maritime Efficiency (CME) to understand how CME leverages digitalisation to improve its operational efficiencies and lower its carbon footprint. During a discussion, colleagues gained insights from Capt. Fernandes on the various challenges that Australian ports face. PIL’s teams and he also exchanged best practices on safety initiatives for port users and explored the possibility of collaboration in enhancing safety for the maritime sector.

Safety is a top priority for PIL, and the company looks forward to further deepening our cooperation with the Port Authority of New South Wales and other authorities worldwide to ensure safety for the global maritime industry.
