PIL Rock Melons

PIL made another successful delivery of fresh produce earlier this month using one of its Controlled Atmosphere (CA) refrigerated containers (reefers). This time around, it was a shipment of rock melons.

Leveraging Carrier Transicold’s EverFRESH® atmosphere control system, PIL could regulate the carbon dioxide, oxygen and nitrogen levels within the container. The result? The melons arrived fresh in Singapore after a 13-day journey from Brisbane, Australia.

The consignee for this shipment – a leading fresh produce importer in Singapore – was impressed that the condition of the melons turned out to be “better than expected”! This is also PIL’s first shipment of rock melons from Australia for its consignee.

This successful shipment once again demonstrates PIL’s capabilities in using the EverFRESH Active CA technology to maintain an optimum environment for the transportation of fresh produce, so that the produce can arrive in their best conditions for the enjoyment of consumers!
