Pacific International Lines (PIL) and PIL Logistics Pte Ltd have collaborated to transport a yacht from Shanghai, China, to Auckland, New Zealand. This marks the first breakbulk cargo collaboration between PIL Logistics (China) and PIL’s Global Project Cargo & Special Cargo Desk, which was launched in the second half of 2023 to provide customers with a range of project cargo solutions, including breakbulk and out-of-gauge solutions.

To ensure seamless execution, PIL and PIL Logistics offered a comprehensive solution for origin handling, which included customs declaration, unloading of cargo from the original barge, transferring the cargo within the port terminal, and finally, loading the cargo onto the vessel. Both companies worked closely to ensure the project was completed according to the plan and timeline.

This successful shipment highlights PIL’s commitment to “Driving Connectivity” with their subsidiary companies. By continuously pushing boundaries and leveraging each other’s expertise, the company can meet the needs of their customers with people-centric solutions.
