Orient Overseas Container Line Co., Ltd. (OOCL) recently commemorated the naming ceremony of its twelfth 24,188 TEU eco-friendly mega vessel, “OOCL Portugal”, at the Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (NACKS) shipyard. The event was attended by Mrs. Laura Liang Aron, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai, who was invited to name the new vessel. Mr. Ni Zhao, Regional Head (Shanghai) of the Hong Kong Shipping Registry, also graced the occasion as a special guest. Several distinguished guests, customers, and business partners bore witness to the successful completion of the ceremony.

During the ceremony, Mr. Michael Xu, Director and Member of the Executive Committee of OOCL, noted, “The naming of our final 24,188 TEU new vessel signifies a significant milestone in the advancement of OOCL.
