MSC, a global leader in shipping and logistics, has unveiled its latest initiative to bolster trade connectivity between Asia and the Middle East. The company is set to launch a new dedicated service named Clanga, aimed at providing efficient port pair connectivity and alleviating the challenges of port congestion in the Middle East.

The Clanga service is poised to offer competitive transit times for cargo shipping between Asia and the Middle East, particularly strengthening trade links between China, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia. Notably, the service will include a direct call in Ad Dammam, enhancing trade connectivity and expediting the movement of goods between these key regions. Furthermore, the Clanga service is set to facilitate Saudi exports to the Far East through a direct call in Shanghai from Ad Dammam, offering a distinct and competitive advantage for exporters.

Scheduled to commence in Week 35, the Clanga service will follow a rotation covering Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Ad Dammam, and returning to Shanghai. This strategic addition to MSC’s service portfolio promises to optimize trade routes and enhance logistical efficiency for businesses engaged in Asia-Middle East trade.

In conjunction with the launch of the Clanga service, MSC is also adjusting the rotation of its New Falcon service in Week 34 to further optimize its network. As part of the adjustments, the New Falcon service will omit Ad Dammam and introduce a new call in Nansha, offering a refined rotation covering Tianjin Xingang, Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Nansha, Shekou, Singapore, Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Hamad, Umm Qasr, Abu Dhabi, and returning to Tianjin Xingang.

These developments underscore MSC’s continued commitment to enhancing trade connectivity and providing efficient shipping solutions for businesses in the ever-important Asia-Middle East trade corridor.
