OGISTEED, Ltd. has announced the opening of its new Kansai Logistics Center (Kyoto Kameoka) in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. This state-of-the-art facility, operated by group company LOGISTEED Chemical, Ltd., specializes in the handling of hazardous materials and commenced operations on January 6, 2025.
The centre comprises seven warehouses and is strategically located in a large industrial area with excellent access to major transportation routes. It supports compliance with regulations regarding the storage of hazardous materials across various sectors, including chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and lithium batteries, contributing to the strengthening of customer supply chains.
Enhancing Efficiency with Autonomous Technology
This new logistics centre is the first within the LOGISTEED group to introduce unmanned transport vehicles equipped with autonomous driving technology for outdoor use. This innovation reduces the need for forklifts in outdoor transportation, leading to higher efficiency and improved safety.
