International Cargo Logistics Ltd (ICL) has opened a new office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, as part of its global growth plan.

The Heathrow-headquartered forwarder, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, aims to develop its multimodal offering in the region, capitalising on Vietnam’s proximity to major shipping routes.

This announcement follows the opening of an office in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in February of this year. A total of 10 ICL offices are now established worldwide.

“Our new office will be integral in driving operations in Southeast Asia, focusing on supporting our clients in the e-commerce sector,” said Yoav Izhari, Chief Executive Officer, ICL.

“Vietnam’s position facilitates easy access to the South China Sea Route, a shipping route integral to our operations between Asia and Europe.”

The Vietnam office will allow ICL comprehensive oversight of its operations in the region, which is strategically situated near the Saigon Port network.

“This new office presents an exciting opportunity to strengthen our working relationships with existing clients and build new connections with regional players,” added Izhari.

ICL operates in over 180 countries and has over 50,000 metres of logistics and storage facilities, having doubled the size of its cold storage facility at Heathrow in July of this year.

ICL will attend this year’s Fruit Attraction conference in Madrid, Spain, from October 8 to 10, 2024.
