Interasia Lines (Thailand) celebrated the arrival of its newest container vessel, INTERASIA TENACITY, with a maiden voyage ceremony at Laem Chabang Port on January 10th. The event, held at Hutchison Ports A2 Terminal, was attended by partners, customers, and staff.
Mr. Mars Liu, the owner’s representative, led the ceremony, which included a tour of the vessel for attendees. Captain Francis M. Faner welcomed guests and provided demonstrations of the ship’s advanced equipment.
“We are thrilled to welcome the INTERASIA TENACITY to our fleet,” said Mr. Liu. “This vessel represents our commitment to providing efficient and reliable service to our customers.”
The INTERASIA TENACITY is a 2,300 TEU container vessel operating under the Singapore flag. The 204-meter-long vessel has a width of 35 meters and is equipped with an AIS transponder Class A. This advanced technology enhances safety by providing real-time location data to improve ship traffic control and prevent collisions.
The vessel will operate under the Vietnam Thailand India (VTI) service, connecting key ports in Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent to facilitate growing trade between these regions. The service has a port rotation from Cat Lai, Laem Chabang, Port Klang, Nhavasheva, and Mundra.
The addition of the INTERASIA TENACITY to its fleet highlights Interasia’s continued investment in modernizing its operations and expanding its service offerings in the region.
