HMM has announced a new service, Far East Asia—East Latin America Service 2 (FL2), offering a direct connection between Far East Asia and the East Coast of Latin America. This new route, operated in cooperation with Ocean Network Express (ONE), enhances HMM’s presence in the Latin American market and provides customers with more efficient and reliable shipping options.
“With the introduction of the FL2 service, HMM will provide our customers with more efficient and reliable service, following our Far East-India-Latin America (FIL) service,” said an HMM official. “We will continue to enhance our presence in the East Latin America market, which has high potential for future growth and development.”
The FL2 service will commence its first voyage from Busan New Port in early April, with a round-trip voyage time of 11 weeks (77 days).
FL2 Service Rotation:
Busan – South China – Singapore – Rio Grande – Santos – Santa Catarina – Singapore – Hongkong – Busan
In addition to the FL2 service, HMM will offer a dedicated River Plate feeder service to Argentina and Uruguay via Rio Grande, providing competitive transit times for those markets. This expansion of HMM’s service network in Latin America demonstrates the company’s commitment to meeting the growing needs of its customers in this dynamic region.
