COSCO SHIPPING successfully named its first 16,000 TEU methanol-dual fuel container ship, M.V. “COSCO SHIPPING YANGPU,” in Yangzhou on February 18th. This milestone signifies COSCO SHIPPING’s significant progress in developing green and low-carbon strategic emerging industries and building a new energy fuel fleet.
The naming ceremony coincided with the 9th anniversary of COSCO SHIPPING’s reorganization, marking a new chapter for the company’s innovative future.

This vessel, constructed by COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry Yangzhou, is the first in a series from COSCO SHIPPING Holdings and is designed to meet the growing demands of green shipping corridors and establish a green methanol industry chain.
