COSCO Shipping Lines is enhancing its Trans-Atlantic service offerings with significant upgrades to its Mediterranean routes, effective February 2025. The company’s two existing services, the Mediterranean to North America Service (MENA) and the East Mediterranean to North America Service (EMA), will undergo enhancements to provide comprehensive, reliable, and competitive transportation solutions.

The upgraded services will offer improved connectivity and expanded port coverage, connecting 14 key ports across the Mediterranean and North America.

MENA Service Upgrade

The MENA service will now include a weekly direct call at Salerno, Italy, expanding port coverage and offering faster transit times. Vessels departing from Salerno will reach New York in just 21 days.

EMA Service Enhancement

The EMA service will provide extensive port coverage through transshipment in Piraeus, Greece, utilizing COSCO’s feeder network to connect to key ports in Romania, Egypt, Turkey, North Africa, and the Adriatic Coast.
