CNC has unveiled its latest addition to the fleet with the introduction of the CNC AMALFI BAY. This newbuild has been integrated into the Japan Straits Express (JPX) service, serving as a key link between Japan and the Malacca Straits.

Measuring 186 meters in length and 35.2 meters in width, the CNC AMALFI BAY has a capacity of 2900 TEU, making it an important asset for CNC’s operations in the region.

One of the most remarkable features of the vessel is its environmentally friendly design. Equipped with scrubbers, the CNC AMALFI BAY is engineered to minimize air pollution by filtering out sulphur oxides and other harmful emissions from its exhaust gases.

Moreover, the ship is not only conventionally powered but also primed for the potential use of alternative fuels such as LNG or methanol. This forward-looking approach underscores CNC’s dedication to sustainable and eco-friendly practices in the maritime industry.
