CNC COSCO Vessel Sharing Agreement

CNC, the Intra-Asia short sea specialist of the CMA CGM Group, has recently announced a vessel sharing agreement with COSCO for its China Philippines 8 (CP8) service. Under this agreement, two vessels with a capacity of 2,800 TEUs will be involved, with CNC operating one of them.

The CP8 service is known for providing a direct and rapid connection from Fuqing, Shanghai, Ningbo, and Xiamen in China to Manila in the Philippines. It also offers a weekend cut-off at Shanghai and Ningbo, ensuring timely delivery of shipments on weekdays.

With a weekly service rotation of Fuqing – Shanghai – Ningbo – Xiamen – Manila North – Manila South – Fuqing, this China-Philippines service plays a vital role in facilitating trade between the two countries.

The effective voyage of the agreement commenced with the vessel COLOMBO from Shanghai on 13 April 2024. This development is expected to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the CP8 service, benefiting businesses and shippers involved in the China-Philippines trade route.
