CMA CGM has launched its new MOCANA service, its new seasonal offer dedicated to exports of fruit & vegetables from Morocco to North America. The service utilises CMA CGM’s ‘Smart Containers’, which can monitor the conditions and status of cargo during transport. In addition, the containers feature a ‘Climactive’ controlled atmosphere to preserve the perfect atmosphere.
The MOCANA service port rotation is:
Tanger Med – Halifax – New York – Norfolk – Savannah – Charleston – Tanger Med
The service promises to form a new bridge from Southeast Asia to the Tanger hub for cargo bound for Africa and the Mediterranean, with intermodal solutions allowing 3-to-4-day delivery by train from Halifax to Toronto/Montreal.
