CEVA Logistics is expanding its fleet of low-carbon vehicles with the addition of 23 new electric trucks for collection and distribution operations in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. This investment supports CEVA’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
The new electric trucks, comprising 21 straight trucks and two road tractors, will operate from eight CEVA Ground operation sites. These additions bring CEVA’s total number of electric trucks and vans to 541, and its total low-carbon fleet to over 1,100 vehicles. The company estimates that the new trucks will reduce CO2 emissions by 984 tons annually, contributing to a total annual CO2 reduction of more than 38,300 tons across its fleet.
“By strengthening the fleet for our ground operations with an additional 23 electric trucks, we are progressing in our journey towards more sustainable logistics,” said Cédric Chacon, Europe Ground & Rail Product Leader at CEVA Logistics. “This investment illustrates one of the fundamental pillars of our CSR strategy, ‘Acting for the Planet,’ and demonstrates our desire to offer sustainable transport solutions to our customers.”
Investing in Charging Infrastructure
To support the expanded electric fleet, CEVA has installed 85 new charging stations at its facilities in France, the Netherlands, and Belgium. This brings CEVA’s network to more than 300 charging stations in France and 1,035 worldwide.
Commitment to Sustainability
CEVA’s investment in electric vehicles is a key part of its near-term strategy to achieve its net-zero emissions goal. The company is focused on leveraging alternative fuels and electric vehicles to reduce the environmental impact of its road transport activities. This initiative aligns with CEVA’s broader sustainability goals and its commitment to providing environmentally responsible logistics solutions.
