Bolloré Logistics Pakistan successfully delivered a radioactive shipment to the Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Oncology (INMOL) in Lahore. The institute is recognized for providing diagnostics and treatment facilities to cancer patients.
The shipment was secured through Bolloré Logistics Control Tower office for one of the international organizations for peaceful use of nuclear energy in Vienna, Austria. The scope for the team in Pakistan was to arrange sea freight operations, customs clearance at Karachi seaport and delivery at INMOL Hospital, Lahore.
Considering the sensitive nature of the shipment, it required special handling both at the point of loading and delivery, which was executed seamlessly by the team in Pakistan. Despite the challenges faced by the team, like port congestion and space constraints at the origin due to the pandemic situation, the shipment was well managed within the given lead time.
“Thanks a lot for arranging transportation from Karachi to Lahore (INMOL) and off-loading the truck safely. It was indeed a difficult job to handle such a huge machine. Once again, thanks to the whole team.” said Dr. Irfan Ullah Khan, INMOL, Lahore.
