Bolloré Logistics and Antrak Australia recently installed solar panels at their office and warehouse in Perth, embarking on its renewable energy journey and supporting the organization’s sustainability goals. The rooftop solar panel system was installed by Disgen, an Australian company specializing in offering clean solar power solutions.
Every year, the new system will generate more than 63 MWh of electricity, avoiding 53 tons of CO2 emissions and covering 92% of the building’s power needs. Adhering to the Paris Agreement, Bolloré Logistics is committed to reducing 43% of its scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2027 through its CSR Program ‘Powering Sustainable Logistics’.
“Bolloré Logistics Pacific is fully committed to playing its part in achieving our Group target. Using solar power to generate electricity to replace fossil fuel-generated electricity has a positive impact and is one of the steps that we are taking in this sustainability journey,” said Thibault Janssens, CEO of Bolloré Logistics Pacific.
This is the first solar panel installation project carried out by Bolloré Logistics Australia. There are two more solar projects in the pipeline for its Melbourne and Brisbane branches.
