CEVA Logistics has begun operating a major fashion and apparel distribution centre in Toledo, Spain, strengthening its contract logistics capabilities in the Iberian Peninsula.

Located in the Santa María Benquerencia Industrial Estate, the 75,000-square-metre facility has been operating under CEVA since March 2026 and is capable of processing more than 120 million garments annually.

Supporting Omnichannel Retail Operations

The distribution centre supports both physical retail and e-commerce fulfilment, with approximately 60% of the order-picking process currently automated.

The facility includes a 10,000-square-metre intelligent storage module with capacity for more than 60,000 pallets and uses Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) to support storage and fulfilment operations.

Its location near Madrid also provides access to major transport and distribution routes serving customers across Spain and the wider Iberian market.

Creating Regional Employment

The Toledo site currently employs around 400 permanent logistics professionals and can scale its workforce during peak periods and seasonal campaigns.

According to CEVA, the facility has the capacity to generate more than 1,000 direct jobs during periods of higher demand.

Integrating Renewable Energy

The LEED-certified facility is also equipped with rooftop solar infrastructure designed to support more sustainable operations.

Once fully operational, the photovoltaic system is expected to generate approximately 500,000 kWh of electricity annually for on-site consumption, helping power the centre’s automated systems and robotics fleet.

Through the combination of large-scale capacity, automation and renewable energy, CEVA aims to strengthen its fashion logistics capabilities while supporting high-volume omnichannel distribution across the region.
