On March 11, Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) met with the Foundation for Khao Yai National Park Protection and the Faculty of International Maritime Studies at Kasetsart University’s Sriracha Campus to align HPT’s Go Beyond Go Green initiative with the Foundation’s Next Gen New World project.

The Go Beyond Go Green initiative expands on the original Go Green project, focusing on increasing green spaces, upcycling waste, conserving energy, and promoting environmental awareness among youth. The initiative has consistently engaged communities near the port and university through various activities in partnership with the Faculty of International Maritime Studies.

Meanwhile, the Foundation for Khao Yai National Park Protection’s Next Gen New World project aims to educate and train young people about the importance of natural resources and environmental conservation—both on land and at sea—to ensure long-term sustainability.

This three-way collaboration will include several activities: an environmental youth volunteer camp (Next Gen New World), mangrove reforestation and nature studies, and essay and short video competitions on the environment in Sriracha, Chonburi. These programs give young participants opportunities to demonstrate their vision, creativity, and awareness of the global climate crisis and solutions.

This meeting marks a significant step in advancing the Go Beyond Go Green initiative, reinforcing the commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development while strengthening partnerships for a lasting impact.
