Wan Hai Lines participated in the Asia Fruit Logistica event, which was held from September 4 to September 6 at Hong Kong’s Asia World-Expo. This annual event offered opportunities for fresh product sectors and related cold chain logistics to make business contacts on-site for the entire Asian region.
Wan Hai, a participant for the seventh time, had its eye on the growing demand for fresh and refrigerated product transportation. The company indicated that with regional economic growth driven by robust domestic demand, the emerging middle class began focusing on better food quality and safety. Additionally, the rapid growth of the fresh online business gave rise to overall cold chain logistics, creating a greater market potential. As a result, Wan Hai added an additional 9,000 units to its reefer within three years, with a portion of them capable of providing Active CA (Controlled Atmosphere) technology to serve highly perishable fresh shipments.
Wan Hai’s reefer carriage service features included a comprehensive network, with the company operating the most intensive networks in the Asia region, offering 67 regular services and serving as many as 33 countries with 104 front offices worldwide. The company was committed to expanding more comprehensive service coverage to better satisfy customers’ seasonal needs for fruits, vegetables, frozen meat, and seafood transportation.
The company also boasted a younger reefer fleet, with an average reefer container age of less than five years, to ensure that consignments delivered by shippers were well-kept. Additionally, Wan Hai’s reefer experts and technicians kept close tabs on each stage throughout the carriage. Wan Hai’s reefer containers were compliant with various international standards, safety, and environmental certifications, aiming to enhance the safety and convenience of customers during cargo transportation.
