GEODIS was conferred the Award for Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence at the Supply Chain Resilience & Sustainability Awards 2024, held in Shanghai, China, organised by the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) APAC. The Awards celebrate and honour the outstanding achievements of global supply chain organisations. GEODIS was recognised for exemplifying supply chain resilience and sustainability excellence and demonstrating a continuous commitment to corporate social responsibility and governance. The TAPA APAC Board of Directors determines winners.

GEODIS’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy has been developed in line with one of the seven Golden Rules of its business excellence program, “Be a good citizen”. GEODIS is committed to providing its customers with sustainable logistics solutions that address social, environmental, and ethical issues. GEODIS is focused on developing low-carbon solutions, reducing the impact of its activities on the environment, continuously improving the health, safety and well-being of its employees, and acting ethically and responsibly in its relations with its partners.

“CSR is at the heart of our strategic plan to significantly reduce our carbon footprint and be recognised as a sustainable logistics leader. To ensure the highest standards of supply chain resilience and sustainability, we are constantly striving to improve our CSR strategy,” said Onno Boots, Regional President & CEO of Asia Pacific and Middle East, “We do this by ensuring an ongoing dialogue and collaborating with our customers, employees, partners and professional organisations like TAPA. We are incredibly proud to have our efforts recognised with this award for Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence.”

In compliance with the Paris Agreement, GEODIS has committed to a 42% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from its fleet and buildings (scopes 1 and 2) and a 30% reduction in the carbon intensity of subcontracted transport (scope 3) by 2030, taking 2022 as the baseline year. On May 30th, 2024, Marie-Christine Lombard, CEO of GEODIS, signed a GEODIS Diversity Policy, marking GEODIS’ commitment to its employees to foster a work environment that values and respects all. GEODIS was also recently awarded the Logistics Sustainability Excellence Award from Lenovo for achieving a significant CO2 emission reduction through a fuel switch to Sustainable Marine Fuel (SMF). In addition, in the Asia Pacific region, GEODIS’ highly secured road network offers sustainable transport between Southeast Asia and China. To ensure global standards in end-to-end supply chain resilience, GEODIS has attained TAPA FSR certifications in 33 sites globally in 2023, compared to 19 sites in 2021.
