Hutchison Ports Thailand, the leading port operator in Thailand, became the first container terminal operator at Laem Chabang Port to handle 25 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent unit of container) since operations commenced in 2002.

Mr. Stephen Ashworth

“Since we started operations in Thailand in 2002, we have been committed to providing a reliable and efficient service to our customers. This significant milestone of 25 million TEUs proves that we are delivering what matters most to our customers as the leading port operator in Thailand. We will continue to improve, develop, and invest in the latest technology and operational safety features to deliver the best experience possible for our customers.” said Mr. Stephen Ashworth, Managing Director – Thailand & South East Asia of Hutchison Ports.

Hutchison Ports Thailand’s Terminal D at Laem Chabang Port is the largest and most advanced deep sea container terminal in Thailand with all of its ship-to-shore and yard cranes operated using the latest remote-control technology. This innovation is the first of its kind at Laem Chabang Port, and has helped Hutchison Ports Thailand to better optimize cargo flow and operations. The boost to both safety and productivity has, in turn helped all the ocean carriers, importers, and exporters to build their trust in Hutchison Ports Thailand.
