The world’s largest container ship and supply vessel operator, A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S, commonly known as Maersk has recently relocated their Yangon office in Myanmar.
The new 703-square meter 80-desk office is located in Junction City, one of the newest built grade-A office towers and will provide workspace for up to 80 employees from Maersk, Sealand and Damco Freight Forwarding. Maersk Area Managing Director for Yangon, Myanmar, Marco Civardi and Bo Wegener, Sealand Asia Managing Director cut the ribbon to officially open A.P. Moller – Maersk’s new central city office in Yangon.
Mr. Civardi said, “Moving into this new modern office reflects our commitment to our employees and to the Myanmar business community now and for the future, the flexible, multi-purpose space will offer our employees an environment that promotes collaboration, engagement and well-being. We are conveniently located in the city center and I am confident that we can better serve our customers from this new office.”
Maersk first entered into Myanmar in 1991, in May 2014 they opened their own agency office in Yangon in conjunction with their sister company Sealand Asia. Both Maersk and Sealand have a long-term commitment to deliver world-class logistics solutions to Myanmar’s exporters and importers.
