Fully owned subsidiary of the Bolloré Group, Bolloré Logistics South Africa recently announced a substantial investment to transform their Pomona facility in Johannesburg, South Africa. This will allow the transport and logistics provider to reinforce their strategic Supply Chain and warehousing goals.
Work on the Pomona facility upgrade and other infrastructure development began at the end of 2017. Originally the facility had the capacity for 10,000 pallet spaces, as a result of the upgrade, this has now expanded to over 24,000 pallet locations.
One major challenge to overcome while the upgrade took place was implementing the required changes whilst ensuring business continuity for all their current clients.
The facility has been awarded TAPA level C accreditation due to the state of the art facility is fully compliant in terms of Quality, Health and Safety regulations. The warehouse offers a wide scope of services and provides bespoke solutions for various industry sectors such as retail, FMCG, perfumes, cosmetics, high-tech, telecom and automotive.
