Ocean Network Express (ONE) Thailand recently achieved a remarkable milestone by attaining 1 million TEUs, merely 9 months into the business. From January to December in 2017, the export & import laden containers volume in Thailand was 8 Million TEUs1.

Mr. Kiyoshi Tokonami, Managing Director of ONE Thailand, said, “This realization is a testament of the strong collaboration and support between our esteemed customers, business partners, and ONE Thailand. In addition to the memorial milestone, with newly built container vessel “ONE Columba” whose loading capacity of 14000 TEUs being the largest ever to call Thailand in late 2018, we successfully demonstrated ONE’s commitment to the Thai government’s policies for economic growth, especially for the national project Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). Whilst maintaining our Intra-Asia presence, we are continuously expanding our service networks to further improve trade connectivity for the world.”

The achievement of 1 million TEUs marked an important chapter for ONE Thailand. Since the commencement of the business in April 2018, ONE Thailand took proactive measures to overcome challenges over the months and this significant milestone reflected the potential and importance of ONE’s role in the maritime trade between Thailand and major trade lanes around the world and is a sign of many more to come. Committed to the continuing success as ONE sets sail towards the next 1 million TEUs, ONE advances to enhance its handling capacity and maintain competitiveness, setting trends and standards along the way.
