One of the world’s leading material handling manufacturers and suppliers, Crown Equipment recently announced the opening of their new branch in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. The new branch will enable customers of Crown Equipment direct access to their renowned material handling equipment solutions, extensive industry expertise and high-quality customer service experience.

Vietnam has seen an exponential growth in their economy with a projected annual gross domestic product increase of approximately 5.1 per cent, the new Crown Equipment branch will help support this growth trend.

With the added presence of Crown in Vietnam, local businesses can now improve their supply chain performance through the use of their high-quality forklift trucks coupled with a customer service program that leads the industry.

Managing Director for Crown Equipment Southeast Asia, Steven Hill commented, “Crown’s expansion into the Vietnam market is another example of our ongoing infrastructure development in Asia.

In addition to improving our customers’ level of efficiency and reducing costs, we are committed to investing in local staff recruitment.”

The addition of the Ho Chi Minh branch is the fifth strategic expansion for Crown in the Asian region following on from recent openings in Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea and Thailand.

Ho Chi Minh City is regarded as the economic hub of Vietnam, in recent years heavy investment from the manufacturing sector has resulted in many new factories being built in particular companies relocating from China due to the rising labor costs which equate to three times the average wage of a Vietnamese employee.
