Transnational German-based cargo container shipping line Hapag-Lloyd has have concluded a Bilateral Strategic Feeder Network Cooperation Agreement with global transport company Ocean Network Express (ONE). The new agreement has already resulted in the first trades being completed.
The unique strengths and competitive advantages of both companies combined will provide the market with a superior feeder network. As part of the new cooperation, both Hapag-Lloyd and ONE will share cargo allocation on their respective feeder services.
A new Intra-Asia service, Bohai Feeder (BHX) has already been implemented by the companies in August 2018. A new Intra-Europe service, the North Sea Poland Express (NPX), will start in October 2018 further enhancing their existing feeder network.
Chief Executive Officer of Hapag-Lloyd, Rolf Habben Jansen said “This new cooperation strengthens Hapag-Lloyd’s and Ocean Network Express’s footprints in Europe as well as expands both companies’ service portfolios in Asia. With this new cooperation, we are able to offer our customers worldwide a far better and consistent feeder network.”
