German Deutsche Bahn AG subsidiary, DB Schenker has recently launched Connect 4 Land, a fully digital booking platform allowing their customers in Germany to access their logistics services for land transport online through the new platform.
The platform was first tested in Spain and proved a great success and is now fully operation there and other European countries are expected to be online by the end of 2018. Next year Customers throughout Europe will have access to the new digital platform for freight services.
DB Schenker Chief Executive Officer, Jochen Thewes had this to say about the new platform, “By launching connect 4 land, we are taking another important step towards a digital future and are equipping our company for long-term success.”
Mr. Thewes further added, “Direct and personal communication with our customers will, of course, remain an important aspect of our core business. However, the new digital booking platform will make it easy for small and medium-sized customers in particular to use DB Schenker’s professional services.”
Customers of DB Schenker now have quick online access to the largest land transport network in Europe as result of the Connect 4 Land platform. For business customers, the platform offers access to a more convenient and direct online booking such as a smartphone or tablet with instant and transparent information pertaining to costs, transportation time, and easy tracking.
