German-based global transport and logistics company Kuehne + Nagel recently announced an expansion to their partnership with the BMW Group. This new expansion will result in the opening of two new distribution centers in Germany and Poland along with a new dealer distribution from the two main BMW RDCs in China. Each of the locations is a prime focus market for the German premium car manufacturer.
The partnership between the two companies now includes 14 major locations around the world with an additional a consolidated foothold in China.

The Kleinaitingen RDC is 70,000 m2 in size, making it one of the largest distribution centers Kuehne + Nagel manages on behalf of the BMW Group. The facility serves over 300 dealers located throughout Southern Germany and Western Austria. Kuehne + Nagel provides a full scope of warehousing services including physically receiving and handling of incoming goods, storage, picking dealer’s orders, packaging, and shipping. Over 82,000 items are stored at the center with on average 23,000 outbound deliveries being completed each day.
The new Polish RDC in Slubice will replace the existing one. The facility is currently 30,900 m2 with the option to expand by a further 10,700 m2. The center was built to feed the continued growth in the Poland markets, serving 125 dealers in North-Eastern Germany along with 35 in Poland itself.
The RDC dealer distribution in Beijing and Shanghai will provide daily road and air deliveries of spare parts to 340 dealers in North, Central and Eastern China.
