Hong Kong-based Tigers, the global logistics and Transportation Company recently announced they have relocated to a new facility in Shanghai, China. The new facility is replete with two warehouses allowing them to negate the space restraints of the previous location and handle the increased customer demand.

The new facility is strategically located near to the Port of Shanghai Yangshan and is based on the dual warehouse model which will enable Tigers to provide scalable solutions to B2B and B2C customers alike throughout domestic and international markets.

Managing Director for Tigers China, Laura Crow said, “Our improved warehouse layout at the new facility has afforded us an increase of 34 per cent in pallet spaces, equivalent to 4000 pallets, and a floor space increase of 50 per cent,”

“Our previous facility was operating at maximum capacity for over a year, leaving us with no space to grow, and limiting our operational efficiency and ability to meet an ever-growing customer demand for complex e-commerce projects.

“Our new warehouse complex will allow us to continue to review our product and ensure it remains fit for purpose as our e-commerce fulfilment operations develop in the region.”

The facility is 3,779 square meters in area and equipped with mezzanine shelving system and 10-meter high racks. The primary focus of the facility is for complex picking and packing projects and offers air and sea freight consolidation and export, China domestic distribution, global omnichannel fulfilment and numerous other value-added services.

Ms. Crow added, “The new facility strengthens our e-commerce operations for international brands entering China and the APAC region,”

“Working in tandem with our bonded operations in Shanghai, we will continue to support foreign brands to get a foothold in the China market by providing import Customs brokerage.”

The facility has been created to support a whole host of industries such as apparel export to retailers in Australia and the European Union, domestic distribution of spare parts for the automotive and lighting industry along with small domestic fulfilment services.

This is just one of many steps Tigers has taken as the company continues to expand and support their its online marketplace, the Tigers eShop.
