KOG Worldwide, a Project Logistics specialist, will now be using the brand name Rhenus Project Logistics with immediate effect. This will also be the case for the subsidiaries of KOG.

The Rhenus Group acquired KOG over two years ago and has now completed the integration of the project logistics specialist. There are no changes to the structure within the company nor any of the contact partners.

Since the acquisition began in February 2015 Rhenus has been strengthening their Project Logistics business unit.

Rhenus Project Logistics Managing Director Dr Tim Merklein said, “The KOG Group has made a name for itself in the field of project freight forwarding in more than 30 years. We wanted to provide our business partners with the assurance after the acquisition that nothing would change in the company’s structure and it would be able to continue offering its customary quality and reliability. The reason for the renaming procedure at this stage is that we’d now like to use a standard brand name visible in the marketplace too in order to cover all the project logistics activities within the Rhenus Group.”

Rhenus now operates 24 companies in 20 different countries throughout Europe, Asia, North Africa and North America. Recent operations have begun in Tashkent, Bremen and Chicago.

The business unit is aligning focus with the renewable energy sectors and providing consultancy services through their own engineering department.
