Thailand’s leading parcel delivery company, Kerry Express (Thailand) Limited recently announced they will invest an extra 800 million Baht for the expansion of their Same-day delivery network in the Thai Capital Bangkok the investment will also be used for creating more nationwide service points.
The money will be used to double the size of the fleet for their Bangkok Same-day delivery and increase their service points from the current 1,500 to 2,500 by the end of this year.
Deputy General Manager for Kerry Express, Warawut Natpradith said, “Customers in Bangkok love our Bangkok Sameday brand and its excellent services,”
He further added, “we invested a huge amount of resources to make Bangkok Sameday a cool brand which change the shipper habit of Bangkokians.”
Service points operated by Kerry Express not only provide easy access to deliveries for people residing in the Kingdom but also play an integral part in the company’s O2O (online-to-offline) strategies.
Mr. Warawut explained further, “Online shoppers will soon be able to order products online and choose to self-collect from our offline stores;”
“on the other hand, more than 20% of online sellers coming to our stores today do not go to the counters, they go directly to the self-help kiosk, scan on a QR code provided by the Seller Centers of those leading e-commerce platforms, then they print a shipping label and hand the products to our shop staff without any payment needed. Kerry will do all the back-end clearance with the Seller Centers.”
Kerry Express has further growth on the horizon with plans to open more distribution centers, construct super-sized sorting facilities, increase vehicles and vehicle types throughout their fleet and recruit more delivery professionals to enhance their people network.
