Spanish based Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has received and secured orders for 39 onshore wind turbines to be installed at five wind farms in France. The wind farm developments are located in the Hauts de France, Grand Est, Burgundy regions and Western France. The wind farms will have an aggregate capacity of 104 MW.
Siemens Gamesa has been contracted for all supply, transportation and installation of 11 of their SWT-3.2-113 turbines (35.2 MW) in Hauts de France for the Innovent’s Eplessier project.
The turbines will arrive in the 3rd quarter of this year along with another 11 SWT-3.2-113 turbines being delivered in Grand Est region to support the ENGIE Green’s Les Monts project. The company will also undertake maintenance for the two sites for 20 years.
In addition to the above, the company has also secured the supply of eight SG 2.1-114 turbines for a 16 MW project in Burgundy with a service contract for 16 years and the supply of four G97-2.0 MW turbines for an 8 MW project in western France along with a 15-year service contract.
Five G97-2.0 MW turbines will be supplied to an undisclosed customer also in western France for a 10 MW wind farm project.
