CMA CGM Invest in Climate Controlled Facility at DP World Logistics Park

Maritime Transport Company CMA CGM has announced a major new investment to build an all-purpose climate controlled warehouse facility at the DP World London Gateway Logistics Park. The company have taken a long-term lease on the land, work on the facility will begin later this year with a projected completion date of summer 2019.

The company through one of their logistics solutions subsidiaries will occupy a cold storage facility located near the River Thames. The facility will be one hectare in size and within a Logistics Development with close access to the main roads into the city of London and surrounding regions.

With the creation of this cold store CMA CGM will offer both frozen and chilled chambers to handle a vast array of climate-controlled goods along with a multitude of value-added services including packing, sorting, palletization, labelling, bagging and quality control on products.

Transfer from the quay to the warehouse (shunting) will also be offered as well as all the necessary customs clearance and a last-mile delivery service.

This new platform will become an all-in-one service offering expertise throughout to ensure a higher quality customer experience.
