DSV recently celebrated the shipment of the first export container from their new repackaging facility in Rayong, Thailand. The theme for the day was “1 Shipment – 5 Alliances”, which was indicative of the complex nature of the process.
DSV says that this is a significant expansion of scope and volume from their existing contract that was previously located in Chonburi and involves the cooperation of multiple partners across the supply chain. The news of this new facility comes off the back of DSV’s recent expansions across ASEAN, and is another firm investment from the company into the region. Planned volume from this 10,000 sqm facility is 43,000 containers over the next 3 years, and employing approximately 150 full time staff.
